It's Tough To Be Gay In This World

Being gay in America or the entire world for that matter is hard. For one, you got so many people out there who don't like you because you are different from them and they torture you or make fun of you. Just like what happened to Matthew Shepard when two straight guy's ganged up on him and tortured him to death just because he was different from them. Just because he was gay they had to kill him because they did not like it. Now, I think that is terrible and down right wrong to do to anyone who is gay or anybody period. Just because someone is different from you doesn't mean that you should kill them or do anything else to them. In this blog, I am going to talk about why being gay in America or anywhere in this world is hard and is okay, plus some people in this world will say that it is not okay and they will say that it is wrong.
It is tough to be gay in this world today because some people just can't accept the fact that there are hundreds or thousands of people out there who are gay. I think for one, which just goes for me is why this is true because of religion, The Bible. There are so many people who I know or even talk to who think that everything in the Bible is true. I think that is crazy and not true. Let me make this clear, there are somethings or all things in the Bible that aren't true, just like what it says about homosexuality. I just think that if it says things like what it says, then it or God can't be true. Why would God say that if he created us equal? Don't get me wrong, I think that it is great that people like God and read the Bible, but just think of what the words really mean and accept that the fact there will always be people out there different from you.
Also I see and hear so many things on marriage in how it should be like what it says in the Bible that marriage is only between one man and one woman. What marriage now these days aren't about love, but gender? That is just plain stupid in my book. Marriage should be about love and not about gender. When you love someone it's real and your passionate about that one particular person. Now I have never been in love with anybody before, but I hope so someday I will and I don't care if it is a Female or a male because love is between two people who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together.
On a end note, I hope people will accept other people who they are and support the LGBT to stop hate. In our society today we have so many entertainment that helps people support and say that it is okay to be gay. For instance it started with Ellen DeGeneres back in the late 1990's with her show “Ellen.” And it opened to many other shows like “Will & Grace” and “Modern Family” just to name a few to say that it is okay. Also you got the “It's Gets Better” campain to help the support of the LBGT community and to say to people who are gay and gets bullied that it is okay and it will get better. Plus, our country, the USA, was not founded on religion/ the Bible, it was founded by equal rights to everybody. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” The Declaration of Independence, IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.
