Be a princess.

Ever since I was little I can remember my father calling out to me “There’s my little princess” , and ever since then that’s what I’ve been and will probably continue to be as long as my dad and I have a relationship. It was something my dad engraved in my head to help me gain confidence and to help explain to me that I shall not want for anything, the sky is the limit. I being self-absorbent or a narcissist was the last thing on my father’s mind. Yes I do agree that there are many women and young girls who take princess to the next level but in my opinion telling younger girls that they can be princesses is not such a bad idea. In princess movies many of the girls who become princess face a small hardship and in the end have a happy ending. I think that we could use this as an inspiration to tell you girls that no matter what the circumstance is anyone can be a princess. I think that this eliminates some of the cockiness because it helps girls realize that any race, financial situation, or type of girl can be a princess. If we change the negative meaning of what a princess is in the eyes of some we could use it to influence other girls. I think this would be a good method to raise the self-esteem of some girls. Although I do agree that many parents ruin their daughters by allowing them to believe that they can have anything that they want. That is one thing that I do believe myself should not be encouraged. As far as beauty encourage it strongly in my opinion because everyone should know they there are beautiful in their own eyes and I believe teaching this at a young age can help eliminate some of the negative thinking in the future.
