I Think Hipsters Are Pretty Hip

In class a few weeks ago we talked about hipsters and from the way class discussion was going it seemed as though those who participated in the discussion really weren't found of hipsters. I however did not speak up but I would like to say now that I love the hipster style and the way hipsters are stereotyped to go about life. I looked up the definition of a hipster and what I found is that a hipster is a person who follows the latest trends and fashions. To be quite honest I want to be a hipster. I would love to be someone who is always up to date with fashion. I do not feel like there is anything wrong with that. Does that mean that a hipster is unique? Well, no but how is anybody unique in this day and age. However a hipster can still be creative with what they are wearing, and I love the idea of being creative. Not one person can where an outfit the same as the person sitting next to them. Every single person is built differently, and has the ability to put their own creative twist on something. That is why I like hipsters. Yes, they follow trends but they can also be setting them as well. People who are "hipsters" are said to shop at thrift stores and wear vintage style clothing. They are also said to have a somewhat bohemian look. Now, does that appeal to everybody....no. But, that look is trendy. I like saving money and shopping at stores cheaper than others. All the things that classify someone as being a hipster are things that any guy or girl could already being doing that doesn't classify themselves as a hipster. So, I don't see what the fuss about hipsters is. It seems to me that hipsters are pretty hip.
