Food, Is It In You?

-->
Food is something that we consume everyday from breakfast to lunch to dinner. Three meals a day is all that we take, but sometimes we do take in some snacks from time to time. Food is unique in someways ranging from farmland to supermarket to fast food to organic/farmers market. In this blog I am going to talk about how these foods are grown, processed, and why some of it is good and not good for you.
How do we know how food is grown? Well, for instance corn, beans, and other crops are grown in fields that farmers grow during the spring, summer, and fall months of the year. These crops are helped grown by sun light and rain, but they are also helped by farmers who spray chemicals on them to control pests and kill diseases, plus help them grow a lot faster. Some of these chemicals can seep to groundwater and go into the crop. At that time it can be dangerous, plus hazardous to your health. Processed food is almost the same way, as of hazardous to your health in the way that it is processed.
Processed foods are foods that are made in a factory and shipped out in a box to supermarkets and fast food restaurants all over the world. They can be hazardous to your health by a number of ways. First in factories, illegal immigrants are working in these places and they handle the food with their dirty hands, which can cause e-coli bacteria and that can make you sick. And second, farmers feed their cattle corn because it will help them get fatter, plus the meat can be more tender. This meat will go to supermarkets and fast food restaurants all over the world, plus it can cause obesity that can kill so many people around the world.
Food can be a good thing to eat, but it also can be a bad thing. All you have to do is watch what you eat. On a note, I have some friends who are farmers, plus my dad was born and raised on a farm, and as of myself, I was some what raised on a farm. But for one of my friends, he said that first and for most it is a business because he is making a living at it and he needs to make money to put food on the table. And second, he can't wait around forever for a cow to get big. I somewhat agree with him that it is an business, but he needs to look at what he is doing. I think what he is doing is wrong and corporate companies are are telling him to do it, so both of them can make a lot of money. Is money really the big picture here? Do we really need all of it? We are so greedy about money and we will do anything to get it. Look, all you really need to do is to watch what you eat and you will be healthy.
