Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest.. Oh How I Love You.

I have a Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Usually there isn't a 15 minute period that doesn't go by where I am not on my iPhone on one my social media apps. Twitter has become my way to see and voice what is going on. I follow celebrities, friends, and school related profiles on Twitter. I do not only learn about concert dates, Miranda Lamberts' doing going missing, Jessica getting her heart broken and free hot apple cider at the scramble light but I also learn about politics, and relief projects for those hit by hurricanes. I don't follow 900 people but I follow enough people, and I learn all that I need to. Twitter is an interesting thing and I can't help but continue to be on it. I like the Twitter and Instagram are connected. When I post a photo on Instragram I able to share it directly to Twitter for all of my followers to see and people that search the hashtags that I used. Instagram is like Twitter in a photo sense instead of words, and its a great way to edit your photos for free. I love that my friends at other colleges and my siblings who I don't see often are able to see me and what I'm up to through my Instagram just as I can see what they are up to through theirs. Now, that may seem silly to some but I know that when I see my nieces photos on my timeline from her first varsity softball game, or her first high school dance I get pretty darn excited. So, all in all I am thankful for social media sites such as Instagram. And lastly there is Pinterest, which is my number one addiction of them all. I could sit on Pinterest for hours at a time, seriously. I love being able to search crafts, clothes, puppies, and fitness all on one site with tons of ideas! I literally think the ideas are countless. Also, I love that I can practically plan my next shopping spree or workout on my board that is made specifically for that category. It's such a neat and creative way to show and save your interests. My dorm room is full of crafts that I have gotten inspired by from Pinterest and I have made some delicious meals from recipes I have seen on Pinterest as well. I don't think that any of these three social media sites are bad. I think that they can be time consuming but I don't believe that they are made to make people waste their days away. I think that how much time you spend on any of them is your own decision but they all can be great things in the end. I know that I love them, and I think they are going to be around for a long time to come.
