Women are Funny

I cannot believe people would say women are not funny. The one of best comedy writers are women. SNL proves that with great comedic actresses they have and their writers. One my favorite show is called Entourage and in that show one of the main writers is woman. This is based four best friends (men) living the dream in Hollywood. Some of the plots of each episode you would not think that a woman wrote it. The creator of the show said if any women found this show offensive, one of your own help write these episodes. People who do not think women are funny. They do not many of their shows they watch is probably written by a woman. For him to said that he is very chauvinistic. It is not about gender, but about what the person is capability of doing. Tina Fey is a great explain of great comedic writer and actress. She has written for SNL before she acted on the show.  It is just hard to think people could say that even though they laugh at shows with women writers. Even as a man, I find that offensive to think that. I never care who wrote or acted only if they were good. I never watch a show and saw a woman’s name as writer and said to myself this is going bad because a woman wrote this and they do not know comedy. I watch a show and find out a woman wrote it. In the show, she is degraded women in it to make it funny. I think it is hilarious she is able to make fun of that stereotype that most women would find offensive.

News is corrupted

When news covers the war, they never show the reality of war. They like glorify war. Even though we know war is harsh and ugly. It’s hard to believe a news reporter, who supposed to be unbiased and tells both side of the story, to show best parts of the war. People would think reporters would do this, but they didn’t tell the truth about war. It was like they weren’t allowed to tell whole story. Maybe because of what happen during the Vietnam War the civil unrest. They were scare that might happen again. Probably because it was war we shouldn’t been a part of once again. It was crazy that we were able to watch the bombings of Iraq like a Monday night football game.  Every news outlet had their camera people cover the bombings. I remember as kid watching this. I can say I was brainwashed by the news thinking that all Iraqis were bad people. Then I got older understood that it was very small group of people we were fighting. If I was brainwashed think that then think about all people who truly believe the Iraqis were bad people. It was almost like the news was a recruitment tool for the military for long period of time. It is sad to think that news isn’t doing their job as a check for local affairs. It supposed to inform people of what is happening all around them. But, instead they talk about sensation stories that really don’t matter, but what needs to be told to the people is consider not that important.

Glasses are for eyesight not for looking good.

I think it is funny how people get mad at people for being a hipster. My opinion I don’t care. It’s not that big of a deal to wear cloths a certain way. But, the only thing I find offensive was people wearing glasses because it was cool. They thought it made them look smart or that it made them look good. I wear glasses because I need it to see what I’m doing. Not to look good or to be smart, but for eyesight what they were meant for in the first place. So, going off that theory would that make me the coolest and best looking person in the world because I have been wearing glasses since sixth grade. The truth is no. I have never got a girl because I wore glasses. I was already popular not because of glasses. I didn’t need to worry about that situation. Instead, people think I was smart because I wear glasses. I know a lot people who aren’t smart and they wear glasses. My friends ask me why I don’t get the hipster looking glasses because everyone else was doing it. I told him it’s just not my style. I don’t like the eighties look at all. I don’t why the eighties look keeps popping back up. The fashion industry can’t make new looks, instead, they recycle old looks. For all the people who like wearing trends, hear is what next trend is going to be for this new decade. I will give you one word “Grunge”.

Food Inc.

               Watching Food Inc. in class really made me anger over the fact that companies were getting away with this horrible crime. They were committing. What I couldn’t believe is how the government allows this to occur. FDA didn’t have any power to enforce any the laws to these food companies. The worst thing about this video is how treated the meat we eat, poorly. Hearing the one story about the food company, that was hiring the illegals to work for them. When they wanting to get rid of them. They told the border patrol that they knew of illegal immigrants. Strange part was that these companies didn’t get in trouble for hiring illegals. The government needs to outlaw lobbyist from the government and people who work for these big companies into government. They are getting their way and hurting others to get more money. The story about the little boy died from E. coli. His mom went Washington to make law against the food companies. But, the government didn’t do anything about that, which in turn, could help and not hurt anyone. This movie shows the dark side where our food comes from and I didn’t like it. I wanted to go these companies and beat the living crap at of them for doing this to the people.  The way they treated the animals was horrible and what they fed them wasn’t even part of their natural diet. The scientists even said if the cows eat grass for four days. It would kill eighty percent of E. coli. That wouldn’t hurt companies financially at all.

Games DO Matter

I have been playing video games my whole lifetime. I do see the benefits of playing video games. Not only are they very entertaining, but it can teach. Playing historical games, I learn many things during the time period that the game set.  Games have been able to increase speed you can react to situation. Even as a gamer, I think there are some games that people play are not human. In Real time strategy games to do well, players must perform four hundred actions per minute to win. To me being a gamer, I can't fathom playing that fast. I think they drink six red bulls to play. I think employers would like gamers being part of their company. If can you perform four hundred actions per minute, imagine how much work you can accomplish in a day’s work.  People say gamers don’t have social lives. Gamers do have social lives, but it’s through video games they play with others across the world. I play world of warcraft. It is the most play mass multiplayer online game in the world. In the game, I am in a guild, which is group of players working together, in this guild we raid. It is the hardest thing to do in World of Warcraft. In raids players must communicate to defeat the boss. Each player has a job. The jobs include tank, healing, and damage. In a raid we were doing a boss. We kept dying. But the weird part was nobody was getting anger about dying the some much. They were happy that they were making progression. I have never seen that in sports. No coach has ever said “Guys, even though we lost, we got more point this game then the last game. We are making progression.” A real coach would yell out you and make you practices harder because of the lost. That’s why games are better for people.
