Rhetoric's with an Opinion 

Should opinions ever be kept to ones self? Lately we have been talking about what a rhetoric's role in society should be. We have had discussions what they should say and what they should not say, but what about their own opinion? Should people be allowed to state their opinion at all times? Everyone has an opinion on some topic, but should they be allowed to state it? I think if you believe in something, then you should hear other people's opinions too, just to hear their point of view. If you believe something, hearing what other people have to say could help solidify your opinion, or perhaps, change it based on their logic. Before forming my own opinion, I look at what others think on the matter. I am not saying that you cannot think for yourself, I'm simply saying by forming an opinion based on the facts or opinions of others is not a bad idea. I do believe that in some situations opinions should be kept to yourself. Opinions can and should be expressed when appropriate. I feel if the situation is a appropriate and you are respectful, then you should be allowed to give your opinion. When do you think is a good time to keep your opinion to yourself?

Communication and Popular Culture: Study Pop Culture? Duh!

We should study popular culture for multiple reasons, obviously, but one major reason is because there are some that believe that popular culture is only what happens in the media such as music and television, but it is truly more complex than that, Merriam Webster defines popular as, “of or relating to the general public”, for this reason solely we can understand and possibly agree that popular culture is something that effects the masses in one way or another. As it relates to culture, Brummel (2006) defines culture as, “the integrated set or system of artifacts that is linked to a group (p. 26). Topics that are considered “popular culture” texts are examples of artifacts that link a group and in turn create culture. It would seem that one could not work without the other. Culture could not exist without these popular texts to connect the group, and in turn, the connected group then creates the artifacts that make up and continue to expand their culture.

There are some well- developed theories available for studying how such influence works. These are theories of rhetoric, or persuasion. The world rhetoric has many meanings, and we will examine more of them in the book “Thanks for Arguing” Many people understand rhetoric to mean the ways in which words influence people. “that’s just a lot of rhetoric,” we say, and by that we mean that it’s just so many empty but persuasive words, In this book we will work from a different, expanded understand of what rhetoric means: the ways in which signs influence people, the rhetoric dimension of the everyday objects, action, and events to which we are constantly exposed, we will also see what it means to refer to these everyday objects, actions, and events as popular culture. In a world so connected by technology, where does rhetoric fit in? In a day and age where 140 characters can change someone’s life over Twitter, what does the way something is worded or phrased have to do with how we conduct ourselves?
I chose this quote from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar because I believe it accurately describes our life and times; there are those of us who text, tweet and Facebook freely but then have a hard time expressing ourselves in a well-constructed argument, a thesis or dissertation of sorts. The ever shrinking world provides us with opportunities we could have only dreamed of ten years ago. But does that mean we're equipped for them simply because of technological advances? Or is there disconnect between current "Techno Rhetoric" if you will, and "Traditional Rhetoric?'

What is the individual person's responsibility to society?

Society responsibility is a proper philosophy or theory that an article, an organization or individual, has an obligation to act to benefit society at large. When I hear individual person’s responsibility to society, I got shocked, because I did not see anybody in this world to understand their responsibility. Individual responsibility is the responsibility of every single person around the world to know, what does society needs? The answer would be, society need for doctor, engineer, architecture, shopkeeper, labor, mechanic, farmer, barber, and military etc.so these people are responsible for their won job to make the society. If people are honest with their job and responsibility the society will be promote. On the other hand this is the responsibility of every single person to obey the law, respect the elders, reform and repair the broke down relationship between the people, to bring peace in the society, to understand human right. Since society is made of different culture, religion, ethnic, recess, so we have to keep a good communication between people to build the society. Therefore the responsibility of the individual person is to obey the government law, to respect the people and keep a good communication between people.

This short video tell us how the world is going to be change and how people is getting busy.
